The DS-2CD2643G1-IZS is a 4-megapixel IP network bullet camera from Hikvision that records high-resolution footage using a 2.8-12mm motorized varifocal lens. It comes with an IP67 rated exterior which makes it great for outdoor use. H.265+ video compression allows it to capture higher resolution video footage without sacrificing space on your NVR in the process.

During the day, this camera will record in full colour and upon detecting low light it’ll automatically switch over to infrared. Once in this mode, the camera can identify objects up to 50 meters away in pitch black conditions. True 120dB wide dynamic range helps eliminate uneven lighting in a scene, preventing overexposure.

The camera can either use a 12VDC power source or can be hooked up to draw power directly from the NVR using Power over Ethernet (PoE).

While it’s always best to have a Hikvision camera paired with a Hikvision NVR to be able to use all included features, the DS-2CD2643G1-IZS is ONVIF conformant, meaning it can be paired with an NVR from another brand that’s also ONVIF compliant.
