The DS-2CD2165G0-I-2.8MM from Hikvision is a 6 megapixel IP dome camera that uses a 2.8mm fixed lens to capture high definition video footage. It features Darkfighter technology allowing it to work in very low light.  With an IP67 weather resistance rating can be used in outdoor applications and is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -30 °C and as high as 60 °C.

When it detects low lighting, the camera will automatically switch to night vision mode. Once in this mode, it can detect objects up to 30 meters away in pitch black conditions. The camera comes with 3D digital noise reduction to remove unwanted particles present on the screen as well as wide dynamic range to help prevent images with poor lighting conditions. The camera also makes use of Hikvision’s DarkFighter technology which allows it to capture high-quality colour footage even in the dark.

As an ONVIF conformant camera, the DS-2CD2165G0-I-2.8MM can be paired with NVRs from other brands that are also ONVIF compliant. It’s always suggested when possible, however, to pair Hikvision cameras with Hikvision NVRs.
